First Match of the New Year – Under 15s
FT Sully 2-3 Fairwater
A lot of tired legs out there today following the Christmas break.
The girls battled better in the second half, but unfortunately just ran out of steam.
On a positive note, it was fantastic to see Jess Dunlop score her first ever competitive goal.
Well done Jess, the first of many!

Dame of the game U15s – Livvy Welsh!
If ever there was a true story of progression and development, this is it.
A few seasons ago, Livvy wanted to play for Sully. Mindful that physically she may struggle with the age group, a decision was made by myself and Mark Isherwood to keep Livvy down a couple of age groups and just train with them for one season. The following season I signed Livvy and gradually gave her more and more game time. Eventually through hard work and perseverance, Livvy has made herself a first team player, and a good one at that.
After hitting the post, the cross bar and a few defenders, today was the day. As Livvy struck the ball today in front of goal, you could have heard a pin drop. The reaction from the supporters on the touchline and the way every team member congratulated her spoke volumes on how much we all wanted Liv to get her first ever goal.
We are very proud of you Liv, well done.!!! xx
