Jodie’s career started at the age of 16 in banking where she quickly realised that customer service was her passion and not lending money! After 25 years in various customer-focused roles, the industry underwent a massive shift change and she felt customers were no longer the priority, so banking was no longer for her.
Jodie from a very young age had an influence in the retail and fashion industry, she was no stranger to buying collections and visiting trade shows to choose stock for her mum’s designer childrenswear boutique.
The Queen B Boutique was established in early 2009 in Jodie’s lounge selling shoes. There was clearly an appetite for her ‘buying eye’ so in October 2009 a retail unit in Penarth was opened.
The Queen B with Jodie at the helm has grown from strength to strength. Firstly an expansion in Penarth allowed The Queen B to move into ladieswear, then a second location in Barry, followed by a refit in Penarth allowing Jodie to start specialising in occasion wear.
The pandemic in 2020 bought new challenges and opportunities, not one to ever be fazed for too long, Jodie took the opportunity to take on additional retail premises in Penarth and also launched a full e-commerce website, this time with her husband Paul, fully onboard driving this side of the business.
Family is extremely important to Jodie, she herself would say ‘I’m no mother earth’ but she clearly cares very much for her children Ben and Lily and those close to her …..she most certainly thinks of ‘The Queen B Girlies’ as an extension to her family.
The Queen B Boutique now has an outstanding reputation for amazing style, good old fashioned customer service and honesty. When you are being styled by one of her ‘Girlies’ you can feel the warmth and passion, which is clearly lead from the top. You almost feel like you are shopping with a friend.
Ladies travel from all over the country to visit the boutique in person and the online boutique will courier all over the World.
Jodie’s passion for customer service is always at the heart of everything she does.
