Anoola Dresses
Anoola brings a softer edge to our mother of the bride rail, in Italian silks, chiffons and satins finished with pearl detailing and beaded appliqué. The four styles on this page run through latte, ice pink, grape and ivory, each cut in an easy, flattering shape rather than a structured one. It's the choice for a mother who wants elegance without a corseted silhouette.
We added Anoola to the rail because our mother of the bride customers kept asking for something less structured than the Continental tailoring we're known for. Where Carla Ruiz and Gabriela Sanchez lean into sharp cuts, Anoola sits softer: draped necklines, gathered waists, fabric that moves rather than holds its shape.
Every dress here is designed around comfort as much as occasion. Off-the-shoulder necklines and draped waist details do the shaping instead of a rigid seam, and the ruffle and floral appliqué touches add interest without tipping into fuss. It's a small edit, four dresses, but each one covers a different colour mood, from the pale ice pink and ivory through to the deeper grape.
Anoola is a London label built around Italian fabrics: silks, chiffons, organzas and satins, finished with pearl detailing and beaded appliqué by hand. It's stocked by boutiques across the UK and Ireland rather than sold as an exclusive, but we chose the pieces that suit the mothers who come through our Penarth doors, not the whole range.
Sizing runs a touch close through the waist and hip on some styles, so if you're between sizes, book a styling appointment and try both before deciding. That's the best way to buy an Anoola dress in any case. The drape reads completely differently on than it does on the hanger.
