Start with the shape you feel good in. Pleated knee-length dresses from Kevan Jon are the ones our stylists reach for first, because they flatter nearly everyone. Veni Infantino brings the showstopper gowns. Lizabella cuts clean, structured silhouettes, and Irresistible keeps the soft, romantic end covered.
Colour does the rest of the work. Emerald, cobalt, magenta and navy sit beside soft ivories and blush tones, so the rail covers every dress code you will meet.
A quick word on dress codes, because invitations rarely explain themselves. Daytime church weddings suit a knee or midi length with sleeves or a cover layer. Black tie asks for full length. Race days reward colour and a hat, and a christening wants softer, easier shapes. If the invitation says nothing at all, a midi with a matching cover layer is the safest opening move.
Season changes the fabric more than the shape. Spring and summer occasions lean into chiffons, prints and lighter crepes. Autumn and winter call for structured crepes, sleeves and deeper colour. We buy this rail across the whole year, so a December occasion is as well dressed as a June one.
